Postmenopause

Published: May 28, 2014

Postmenopause is the stage in a woman’s life that follows menopause.

During the first five years after the last menstrual period, hormone production further decreases causing menopausal symptoms and may lead to bone loss.
This is the time, if indicated, that hormone therapy may be useful.

Discuss with your clinician the risks and benefits of hormone therapy and whether it is right for you.
