Do you ever feel like you’re the only one going through menopause? The following stories are from Red Hot Mamas website readers and members. Scroll through these “menopause tales” and see how other women view and manage their bodies as they experience the change.
When I began going through menopause I was in my early 40's. I didn't realize what was going on until one day I was walking through the living room and I stopped in my tracks because I thought my body was totally short circuiting. I had this sensation of all my electrical circuits being over loaded and then blown. Finally I felt my insides reset and yet I knew if was different. From that day on I began to keep a written account of what was taking place on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. From this I wrote and choreographed a one woman show called MentalPause. I dance, sing and monologue about the all the adventures one may go through during this magical "Change of Life". It has captivated me for the last 10 yrs and I'm still learning and listening from the many women I come in contact. Everyone wants to share their stories. It's important we listen.
