So, you’ve gained clarity as to what you want. You have a plan of action for attaining it. Now is the hard part – manifesting it1. How are you going to make it happen?
We are creatures of habit. The habits we form are deep, especially as we get older. Most of us in our attempt to break these habits fall short of the mark. When we focus on “not” doing something, the mind fixates on the “something”. Actually, we need to focus on what it is we want. This may take a little more thought and it is helpful to have a focused dialogue with a coach who will also assist you to move through whatever is blocking you from your path of attaining your goal. For instance, you may think there is something wrong with you if you have been trying to get something and haven’t succeeded.
As creatures of habit, we tend to try to break habits very similar to the way we got into the bad habit. When we don’t meet with success here, we try to do it better rather than shifting gears and attempting a different strategy. We are immersed in the emotion and drama of the moment. It is difficult to see the forest through the trees. A trained coach can assist in considering a new perspective and a new approach which then can ultimately render a much needed result.
As we continue to meet with no success, we may become disappointed, dejected and later resigned. The human beings that we are lose some of our spirit and we become disheartened. This dis-ease can even lead to disease later on. We must nip this in the bud. How do we do that?
On our own, this can sometimes be tricky and difficult. When we get into these negative headsets and make ourselves worry or feel like it just will not work, we are projecting that into the universe much the same as a film projector. We are creating our own movie. We are literally attracting a negative, unconstructive perspective. As the Law of Attraction states, we actually attract the negative back to us. How do we shift this mindset?
A coach can offer you support and be a cheerleader who can remind you of your greatness and potential. Other times, a coach will confront you and challenge you to own your power, stand up for yourself; put a stake in the ground in order to make it happen. This is valuable.
We all say to ourselves “I can do this on my own”. Many times we can. Certainly many of you will succeed on your own. Timing is everything and there are times when having someone in your corner can make the difference between success and failure. I utilize the services of a coach from time to time myself and have for years. This assistance can also expedite results. If you are interested, contact me or a coach of your choice.
