Take the Pledge to Support Participation of Diverse Women in Clinical TrialsWhen diverse women join clinical trials, researchers can better understand the many factors that affect how women respond to treatment and prevention strategies. By spreading the word, you show your commitment to encourage the participation of diverse women in clinical trials. The FDA Office of Women’s Health invites you to demonstrate your support for diversity in research by taking the Make a Difference: Diverse Women in Clinical Trials pledge. How to participate 1. Visit the Women in Clinical Trials Thunderclap page 2. Log in using your Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr account 3. Join the rally to spread the word about Women in Clinical Trials What happens next? When the campaign reaches its supporter goal, on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at 1:00 PM ET, the pledge message will be released from participants’ designated accounts. “Make a difference in women’s health. Spread the word about the importance of diverse women in #clinicaltrials: http://1.usa.gov/1JeN2mv” The result will be a “thunderclap” of simultaneous Twitter and Facebook posts about diverse women in clinical trials that will reverberate across social media. This is a great way for people across the country to show support for diverse women in clinical trials. Please note that Thunderclap will only post to your account one time during the campaign.
