If you’re one of the 40 million Americans that suffer from sleep problems every year, you probably do not receive the recommended 8 hours of sleep every night.
Sleep disturbances, including insomnia and sleep apnea are a frequently reported complaint in menopausal women. Hot flashes disrupt a woman’s ability to stay asleep during the night. Some experts estimate that a woman may wake up hundreds of times a night due to hot flashes.
Not getting enough sleep for a long time can cause health problems. Many women feel tired, their emotional threshold lowered and as a result, they don’t have optimal health performance. Difficulty sleeping can make problems like diabetes and high blood pressure worse.
The Red Hot Mamas are collecting information from YOU about sleep symptoms and what you do to alleviate them. We will share the results and provide you with the latest information on sleep to optimize your health.
If you’d like to be a part of this learning activity, we are kindly asking for your support in completing our short survey (only 12 questions). With your help, we can find the answers we need as it relates to our sleep and well-being.
The survey is completely confidential. Your responses will NOT be identified with personal information, like e-mail address, or name. If you have any questions or concerns, we’d like to hear from you.
