A New Member of Red Hot Mamas Advisory Board

Taking a Bite Out of Menopause….

Menopause means the end of menstruation due to less hormone production. The reduction in hormones causes changes in the body including the mouth, and changes to our gums.  Some women during their menopausal and postmenopausal years have unresolved dental concerns or problems.  For instance, they are more likely to experience dry mouth, painful, swollen or bleeding gum. And, even a higher percentage of tooth loss.

You can safeguard your smile. So, Red Hot Mamas will help you do so. We’d like to introduce you to our newest member of our Professional Advisory Board, Dr. Frank Barbieri, who has a wealth of knowledge to share.  He has a personal interest in each of his patients (which I am one of), in creating healthy and beautiful smiles.  Oftentimes, he changes a smile from being self-conscious, to, self-confident! Dr. Barbieri will provide to us information about preventive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry and he will respond to your inquiries on Ask the Experts.

Please remember that oral health is an important element to our general health.  And, as women we have different oral health needs than men due to changes in our hormone levels.  Maintaining good oral health may have a positive effect on cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other health concerns.  So, I hope you will agree, Dr. Barbieri is a tremendous asset to Red Hot Mamas!!   Please look over his exquisite background.
