MedStar Health Offering Facebook Live: Understanding perimenopause and uterine fibroids
What is perimenopause, and is there a connection to uterine fibroids? To learn more, tune in to our Facebook Live on Tuesday, Jan. 16 at noon for Understanding perimenopause and uterine fibroids.
You’ll meet Christina Enzmann, MD, a gynecologist and menopause specialist at MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital, and Brian Swehla, MD, an interventional radiologist from MedStar Health.
Dr. Enzmann will define the stages of menopause and discuss symptoms and treatment options. Dr. Swehla will discuss uterine fibroids, how they connect to perimenopause, and a minimally invasive treatment option called UFE that may avoid surgery.
